The Grinch can not steal Christmas. Governor Cuomo is powerless to spoil our Holiday Cheer. Try as he might, he can not break our spirit. He has compounded the health emergency through authoritarian rule. His mandates have crippled small businesses, the backbone of the State. He has caused misery and suffering for millions of New Yorkers. Our strength and resolve push back against him. We are committed to fighting back against his tyranny. We resist his efforts to defeat us. On Christmas Day we are united as one.
Cuomo May Be Banned from Restaurants
Andrew Cuomo may be banned from dining in various restaurants. That is the plan being circulated by restauranteurs outraged by his ban on indoor dining. The proposal would also bar hapless New York City Mayor Bill deBlasio. Owners are fighting for their economic survival. They are joining forces against the unscientific ban on indoor dining. Research shows that less than 2 percent of covid cases originate at dining venues. The great majority – 70 percent – are spread through at-home gatherings. Cuomo’s misguided edict is causing people to congregate at home, dramatically increasing the infection rate. The restaurant industry is putting King Andrew on notice. His subjects will no long take his tyranny sitting down.
Protesters Debut Good Morning Cuomo
Protestors have debuted a web series on Instagram. Good Morning Cuomo is a new broadcast initiated by disgruntled bar and restaurant owners. It showcases the plight of struggling hospitality venues crippled by the Governor’s arbitrary mandate. Presently he has shut down all indoor dining in New York City. Business that had been limping along with limited indoor dining now face ruin. The irony is that Cuomo’s own statistics show that only 1.4 percent of covid cases originate at bars and restaurants. The great majority arise from home gatherings. Come on scrooge, do the right thing. During this Christmas week loosen the restrictions and give these important mom-and-pop businesses a chance to survive. The voters of New York will long remember your capricious edicts.
Cuomo Blames His Shortcomings on Trump
Governor Cuomo blames his own shortcomings on the Trump Administration. He decries the lack of federal support to plug New York’s budget hole. The latest stimulus bill, crafted by a bipartisan coalition in Congress, contains no money to bail out state and local governments. He sees that as Trump’s fault. In reality it is due to King Cuomo’s lack of budgetary discipline. He has bloated the state payroll and done nothing to build up cash reserves. He is now starring at massive shortfalls that are his creation. Time for belt tightening in Albany, Andy.
No Science to Restaurant Closings
There is no science to restaurant closings in New York City. Governor Cuomo arbitrarily shut them down. Incredibly enough he has revealed that restaurant venues are responsible for only 1.4 percent of covid infections. King Cuomo is divorced from economic reality. His harsh and ever changing rules for operating food establishments are killing the industry. Most are mom-and-pop businesses owned and staffed by minorities. By strangling cash flow many will not survive. New Yorkers must rally to the defense of these hard working entrepreneurs before it is too late.
Cuomo’s Hollow Words
Andrew Cuomo’s mantra is full of Hollow Words. He is telling us to “Slow the spread, stop the shutdown”. The Governor should listen to his own slogan. He has single-handedly crippled business in New York State. His arbitrary directives to shut down struggling small enterprises is causing irrevocable harm. Restaurants, bars, hair salons, and gyms have been forced to the brink of insolvency. Many will close permanently. The vast majority of covid transmissions occur due to home gatherings. Cases attributable to public venues are miniscule. The autocrat’s actions are compounding the suffering. Give us a break, King Cuomo.
Cuomo Noncommittal About Allowing Fans at Playoffs
Governor Cuomo is noncommittal about allowing Bills fans to attend playoff games. Responding to reporters questions at a press conference, he once again fudged, taking a wait and see approach. After waiting for an AFC East title for 25 years, the faithful deserve better. Over a generation has passed since the Bills won the division. This is yet another instance of Cuomo’s arbitrary and capricious rule. Remember this when the next election rolls around. Voters can restore freedom to the Empire State by voting him out of office.
Cuomo Threatens Shutdown
Governor Cuomo now threatens a shutdown of all nonessential businesses. That would come in January if covid cases remain high. It would mirror the near total shutdown he ordered last spring. King Andrew is clearly usurping even more authority, He is on a power trip. His policies have decimated the State economy. Unemployment rates in New York City are more than twice the national average. Another shutdown would shutter droves of small businesses permanently. Already thousands of bars and restaurants have closed for good. We, the citizens of the New York State, can no longer tolerate his arbitrary rule.
Cuomo’s Bad Month (and Mouth)
This has been a really bad month for Andrew Cuomo. Among his many gaffes and missteps he has sown skepticism over taking the covid vaccine. With infections, hospitalizations, and deaths reaching daily highs, he has spoken against taking the life-saving vaccine. His motives are purely political. He does not want President Trump to receive credit for the mass inoculation program. With New York having recorded twice as many deaths as any other state, he selfishly focuses on his own ambitions. Save us all if he ever advances to higher political office.
