The Issues. Foremost on New Yorkers minds are law and order and the economy. Those are the major themes of Zeldin’s campaign. They are the reason he is surging in the polls. He has hit hard on those hot button topics. Hochul by contrast has focused on abortion rights. Polls have shown that is not what voters care about. Hochul is late to the game talking about crime and inflation. 2 decades of one party Democratic rule have wrecked the state. Excessive tax and spend policies have driven hundreds of thousands of residents to flee elsewhere. People no longer feel safe in their homes and on the subways. Violent crime is rampant. The far left tilt towards criminals is due to bail reforms and lenient District Attorneys. The Issues. Zeldin May pull off an upset because he is talking what people want to hear !!
