Supreme Court to Hear Corruption Cases. The Justices have agreed to rule on litigation brought by former Cuomo associates Joe Percoco and Louis Ciminelli. Both were convicted of corruption and did jail time. At issue is whether individuals who are not government officials can be charged in federal corruption proceedings. Percoco was Cuomo’s campaign manager. Ciminelli was a businessman charged in the Buffalo Billion scandal. Vast sums of money were involved in the influence peddling cases. They call to question the integrity of Cuomo and the people he associated with. The disgraced ex Governor was never charged with wrongdoing. Supreme Court to Hear Corruption Cases.
