Blame Game. Democrats squarely point fingers at Cuomo for their congressional debacle. 4 blue seats were flipped red in this year’s election. That effectively gave Republicans control of the new House. It has far reaching implications for blocking Biden’s agenda over the next 2 years. Going back several years Cuomo devised a plan for redististricting. An amendment to the state constitution was passed by voters that included an anti gerrymandering provision. The matter found its way into the courts that ruled in favor of the Republicans. The Court of Appeals, with a Cuomo appointed conservative majority, decided the matter. A special master was authorized to draw the new district maps. That made the races more competitive, resulting in the impressive GOP gains. Blame Game.
