Not Out of the Woods. Cuomo still faces formidable Legal Challenges. Despite tendering his resignation, he may be subject to ongoing Legal Battles. There are already members of the Legislature who want to proceed with IMPEACHMENT. The votes are there to remove him, which would bar him from ever again holding state office. The specter of criminal prosecution is real. 5 county district attorneys are weighing pressing criminal charges against him. The women he harassed are likely to file lawsuits for wrongdoing. He faces probable civil litigation which would drag on for years. Cuomo is huddling with advisors and lawyers. The 14 day transition clearly does not ring true. He likely has moves up his sleeve.
